Life Form
The work in this series ‘Life Form’ is inspired by the local environment. The paintings can represent or abstract a life form, or give an impression of sound or movement created by it. For example, ‘Lichen’ depicts an actual deep blue lichen growing in the garden; ‘Bark’ is a reworking of tree bark in a woodland; ‘Wing’ is an abstraction of butterfly wing movement and ‘Tweet’ is Paul’s interpretation of local birdsong.
